I have read (sorry, no cite) that the US is particularly good at trauma medicine because the US is almost continually in a military conflict somewhere. Many doctors get their start doing trauma medicine in military field hospitals. They then bring that expertise back to the US and train other doctors.

I mean look at Jan 6, vandalism, some minor looting, no one was killed-(except a rioter) altho one police officer did die of a stroke the day after and had injuries, but his death was ruled “natural causes” not homicide. Many Police officers had minor injuries and some more serious.

The jan 6 riot was pretty bad, but I think that is the worst that could happen. MAGA riots just can reach the kind of devastation inner city riots can do.

Conversely, before 9/11, when my then-spouse worked in central services (OR tray prep) at Harborview in Seattle, Army doctors from Fort Lewis were always there gaining practice treating gang-related gunshots.

The inner city riots were MAGA riots, too. I don’t know why everyone pretends that it was BLM activists rioting. We know who the rioters were, and Hell’s Angels, the Proud Boys, and the Minneapolis Police Department are not left-wing groups.

That is how I understand it. The rumor was that it happened once a day, usually toward the middle of the day. I doubt if it included all the track people.

What I wonder is if two F-16’s could ‘nudge’ a commercial jet that had inexperienced pilots on board to make it crash. And the F-16’s could survive, rather than a full on crash into the plane.
Commercial planes are designed to be self correcting. Fighter planes are not. So that may be an issue.

My SO’s nephew, a beverage caterer in Washington DC, was befriended and soon indoctrinated by Carlson, gaining access to the beliefs that he doesn’t push publicity. From what his father (who has also bought in to some extent) tells us, if Carlson were free to indulge his heart of hearts, David Irving would be his nightly co-host.
