Things I'm Certain Of But Cannot Prove

Another thing I’m certain of but can’t prove: Short of a stroke, heart attack or death, nothing was going to stop the DNC from renominating Biden. They were going to put their thumb as heavily on the scale as need be. They were fully bought into the “incumbency advantage.”

Well, that’s not exactly going out on a limb, given that we were all witness to it.

No need to nudge. Slice a wing off, or go through the cockpit, it goes down. The F-16 pilot ejects and lives to fill out the paperwork. One old fighter is a small price to pay.

Ah… but to address the thought… I bet they could…

A capable incumbent is gonna be the candidate. But the DNC doesnt really have any such power or authority. That was some weird conspiracy theory by the Berniebros.

I’m worried about actual or rumored mass shootings at polling places in areas with high Democratic demographics. Taking voter suppression to a new level. The long lines don’t help.

Gonna use California early voting. The important thing is to get the vote counted.

The participants in the protest were BLM. The participants in the riot were Hell’s Angels, Proud Boys, and the MPD.

I am certain that justice Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted Christine Ford and several other women, most of whom hid rather than face the publicity of accusing him.

Maybe. But he was 17 and that was in 1982. Memories from that long ago…

Rape/sexual assault rationalization or apology is not a good look. Care to restate that?

I suppose I would remember rape/sexual assault quite clearly, whether yesterday or 30 years ago.
That don’t go away.

Really really young kids remember it from even before they knew a name to call it. And …they knew it was a bad thing.

Truth and more truth.

There is no apology or rationalization. Memories that far back are more or less worthless. That is simply a scientific fact.

People remember a lot of things that never happened. The mandela Effect is one such instance.
Is Memory Reliable? | The Classic Journal.

Hundreds of studies already show that people will unwittingly add false details like these to their memories.

I refer you to the McMartin preschool trial

It was alleged that, in addition to having been sexually abused, they saw witches fly, traveled in a hot-air balloon, and were taken through underground tunnels.[6] When shown a series of photographs by Danny Davis (the McMartins’ lawyer), one child identified actor Chuck Norris as one of the abusers.[24]

Some of the abuse was alleged to have occurred in secret tunnels beneath the school.[25] Several excavations turned up evidence of old buildings on the site and other debris from before the school was built, but no evidence of any secret chambers or tunnels was found.[6] There were claims of orgies at car washes and airports, and of children being flushed down toilets to secret rooms where they would be abused, then cleaned up and presented back to their parents.

And that wasnt a unique experience- Kern County had several similar cases, and in several other areas- all in which children "remembered’ impossible things that never happened- and could not have happened.

Hundreds of thousands have remembered they met aliens, and been probed also.

Memories are tricky and old memories are next to worthless. That doesnt mean people are lying, just that that memory has been corrupted by bias, past happenings, and other occurrences.

Shut up

When I think of two people who have launched full blown presidential campaigns that involve months of gruelling travel, “lazy” is definitely the word I associate with that.

Cruz is married to a managing director at Goldman Sachs, it’s indisputable that he would have been economically fine absent a political career. You can have antipathy towards a person as much as you want and still recognize that they had plenty of career options outside of politics. Cruz clerked for Rehnquist right out of law school, he could have had a thriving law practice for the rest of his career if he didn’t get into politics.

I am Certain But Cannot Prove this was not your original response.

You’d be correct Mr. Fish.

Well, Goddammit! Now there’s proof! Make me look like an Idiot! Thankyouverymuch!

supposedly the mafia has been involved in horse racing since at least the 20s as a way to launder money so much so that al capone would give out pre paid betting slips when he wanted to give a tip or just be "friendly"to someone

one example was apparently he and his wife had an argument and he was purchasing a large number of flowers to kiss and make up but he didn’t have any cash so he handed the florist 3 slips of paper and told her specific days and times to turn them in … she didn’t want trouble so she accepted them just out of pique she did as he said and “won” 20 grand in a week as the long shots mysteriously won

he called the shop and made sure she was paid the correct amount by by the track …

Never mind.
