Things that begin and end in K

There are three fish whose name both begins and ends in a K. Can you name any of them?

I can think of fish that begin with K (King Salmon) and end with K (snook, all kinds of jacks), but not any that do both.

I will give you a clue. One of them is a single word. One of them is two words. One of them is three words with the first two hyphenated together.

Oh, and this belongs in MPSIMS.

The only one I can think of offhand is knifeback.

Should I admit that I know about them at all because of Nintendo’s Animal Crossing game?

Um, the Kick, Kook, and Krack fish?

I’m probably going to be the party pooper…

Killer shark, Kwik save haddock, and Kilmarnock.

Nah, I won’t be the party pooper. You say the punchline, InvidiousCourgette

Isn’t there a Kissing Shark?

Damn, you have heard it. (King-sized Haddock is the alternate version)

Kilmarnock is of course not a fish. But it is a place.

Eh, I’m from the Maritimes - I’ve heard every fishing joke there is!

Yes, but how many fish have names ending in -gry, or rhyming with orange?

And which of those fish can you hunt in a kayak?

And just what is kapok? - I admit I’m floundering.

Possibly, but ‘no tongues’ would be my advice.

Kapok is a type of tree that bears a seed that is filled with light, silky fibers.

According to this site the following are all fish that fit the OP’s criteria:

Nope, I’d say you’ve conclusively proved that there are plenty more fish in the sea…

Well,

There’s Ksalmonk, kperchk, and Ktunak.

Most of my fish begin with a hook and end with a fork.

Damn. I was gonna mention kaspiiskii bychok-pesochnik.

I was going to guess “Kursk.” Though I guess it’s an ex-fish now.

:smack: This joke doesn’t really work in print, does it?
