Things that infuriate you well beyond their actual importance

I donno, I never do take out. Your taco comes on a piece of foil on a paper plate. Hardly difficult to figure out how to put three tablespoons of beans on there.

You can add a roasted red chili though, and cheese on your taco. I think that’s it. I don’t get it.

Sounds like they don’t do “sides.” The roasted chili and the cheese are just garnish.

But I don’t think I’d want a couple of spoons of soupy beans next to my taco unless I’m going to pick it up and never put it down until I’ve eaten the whole thing.

People that walk in the street when there is a sidewalk. Get out of the road, ya mo-ron!

I don’t know what the ‘Tacos’ only and nothing else is all about. It seems odd though. Beans always comes with Mexican food, or has anyway. They could probably make good money offering side or two. Beans cost nearly nothing. As does rice.

But I have another one. Why do delivery drivers (I’m looking at you Amazon) not ring the doorbell? No don’t wait for someone to come to the door, not at all. Drop the package, ring bell and dash. That way we know that something has been dropped off.

Had a package dropped off that was late, and the scheduled time kept changing. Whatever. Ring the bell and go on your way you ding dong. Is there a reason they don’t at least ring the bell?

Amazon deliveries used to ring the bell, but that’s dropped off as the expectation that we all have ring cameras anyway so why bother.

As my USPS carrier knows, ring my bell and you’ll be offered a bottle of water. But then, this is the South.

As someone who doesn’t have a ring camera - do they alert you when someone gets a certain distance from your front door and doesn’t ring the bell? Because otherwise, I don’t see why people having ring cameras matters. Especially since if someone is already on my orsch dropping off a package, ringing my bell only requires extending their arm.

Ring cameras, and their ilk, can be set to alert and/or record when they detect motion.

I thought it was because within seconds you’ll get a notification on your phone with a picture of the item sitting on your porch. Better than ringing the doorbell in most respects, unless folks don’t have phones (pretty rare now).

I might get a notification on my phone if it’s an Amazon delivery, but no one rings the bell - not Amazon, not UPS Fed Ex , the post office. No matter where the package is coming from

Johnny Carson did something similar, taking an innocent interview with a little old lady and bleeping random words making her sound filthy. The one I specifically remember was the last one.

“Well, thank you for your time, Mrs. [name].”

Bleep you, Johnny.”

Unless there is a signature required I don’t think anyone has rung the bell in many years.

Yes, and do it at nite, wearing all black, glued to their phones.

Of Course the number of pedestrian accidents is up.

I most certainly dont want them too, I would complain if they did. And Amazon send you an email when the package is delivered.

If they’re runners, I’m told asphalt is softer than concrete, therefore it’s better for your knees to run on asphalt. Apparently this is why some people run on the road even if there’s a sidewalk.

I’m visiting the communities of Novi, Livonia, and Northville Township Michigan, and I like to walk! What a mess. Eveywhere you go there are sidewalks that end abruptly in the middle of a block with no crosswalks to the other side (where sometimes the sidewalk picks up again). Some developments have installed sidewalks along their street frontage, but others (some more recent) haven’t. Based on the mason’s stamps, some of the sidewalks were built back in the 1980’s, but most of the development came after that and the sidewalks are a patchwork, suggesting an inconsistent level of support from city planners.

Drivers hereabouts are a mix of considerate, patient and safety-minded folks and hell-bent-for-leather “ya mo-ron” honkers driving jacked up pick-em-ups with malfunctioning mufflers.

I’d love to stay out of their way, I really would.

I remember exactly when it started here - COVID. And as far as USPS went, they weren’t even getting signatures when mail was sent certified with a return receipt request . I got more than one return receipt signed by the carrier and received a piece of mail with the return receipt still attached ( so the sender never got it).

Amazon does - but I don’t know of anywhere else that does.

I get some emails from UPS since I signed on.

Same, but ISTM that you have sign up to track the package to be notified.

Yes, like I said since I signed on

But Amazon is better. Actual pictures of where the items are.

Omg, this pisses me off. We have great sidewalks in my neighborhood, but ever since Covid, people (not runners) want to “take back the streets”. I can’t drive on the sidewalk, so get out of the goddam street.

ISTR I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue had a round for doing that to song lyrics::
When somebody [bleep] you, it’s no good unless he [bleep] you
All the way

Happy to [bleep] [bleep] you, to [bleep] [bleep] and [bleep] [bleep] [bleep] you
All the way
