Things that make you go grrrr

Well, trying to figure out what motivates pollution is a very difficut thing, and congress won’t give me a grant to try and figure the language of pollution so I can talk to it and translate the works of William Shakespeare into pollutian and perform it at Lincoln Center.

We have three sets of vanity plates on our vehicles. Two might be decipherable only if you belong to a certain fan base for each one. The other is clearly a word, but you won’t know what it means unless you also know that it’s part of my business name.

The vanity plates are for our enjoyment, not yours. When you pay the extra fee for our plates, then you can tell us what to put on our cars. Until then, quit whining.

People who say “Why do all <insert general category here> …”
The immediate thought I have is, “How do you know that all <members of category> have that characteristic?”

theckhd, just so you know, that wasn’t anything against you; trust me, the hamsters have been mean to me, too, and told me that I have not gotten my message across when, in reality, it’s there clear as day. That was more at myself for failing to recognize said double post until mid-post.

SUVs and minivans are terrible for headlights at the level of my windshield or rearview mirror and absolutely can be blinding. I think that there should be restrictions in place that force normal headlights to be aimed to a specific distance in front of your vehicle so that you don’t get blinded by some SUV that decides to ride 20 feet behind your bumper. My car isn’t worth much. I can’t tell you how many times I have been tempted to slam on my brakes and let him hit me just to get the blinding light away.

BUT even worse that that are when you are behind an SUV or minivan on the highway in the winter (or after a rainstorm). Why are mudflaps not MANDATORY for these vehicles. On a 20km drive to work (12 miles) I can go through a gallon of washer fluid since these things spray so much dirt from the road onto my windshield. Be considerate and get the $5 flaps, would ya!

Would it not be a better idea to mandate that headlights be a certain distance above the ground regardless of the vehicle?

A 18 wheeler behind a corvette can in no way keep his lights out to the Vette’s mirrors.

So, all lights have to be 18 inches from the ground and aimed at 52 feet fwd on all vehicles. Sound good?
