If the kitten is natually playful/frisky, and most seem to be, then I think that’s all you need to see. Just make sure you handle it a lot while it’s a kitten. I did with mine, and now they don’t want to be anywhere but right on my lap or sitting directly in front of me.
I have heard that if a cat lets you handle its paws without pulling away, it will be more affectionate. I don’t know if it is true or not, but in my case I have two cats who let me handle their paws, and they are both very cuddly. My third cat does not like her paws handled, and she is somewhat affectionate, but she chooses when to cuddle - and if she’s not in the mood she’ll leave you cold.
Another hint - belly rubs. A cat that will let you rub its belly is relaxed around you.
