Things where prices have skyrocketed during the pandemic

Not just the previous administration meddling with trade. The current administration is still doing it, and will likely get slapped down yet again. It’s claimed that doubling the tariffs on softwood lumber will not affect prices. Sure buddy.

Used car prices are going nuts.

I just got a load of plywood delivered to our driveway, as we’re getting our roof replaced next month, and the contractor wanted to grab materials before any more price increases. I joked with the delivery driver that we should get an armed guard. He didn’t laugh. He said that we should at least park our car in front of it and leave the lights on. There’s probably $5,000 worth of wood sitting there.

Jesus, for that value, I’d spring for one of those little doorbell cameras, at least, or a simple nanny-cam. SOMEthing.

Oooh! Lotsa rubber snakes! That oughta keep things safe.
