Things women do to make themselves attractive to men that don't make them attractive to men

Totally, the bounce of natural breasts is most of the attraction, not to mention the dangle if the nipples are pointing at the floor.

Skinny jeans.

Until a few months ago, I worked with a gorgeous young Hispanic woman. She had perfect cafe au lait skin, long lustrous hair, and was facially a dead ringer for Sandra Bullock.

But she insisted on cramming herself into skinny jeans. Now, she was by no means obese, but she wasn’t skinny either - she had broad hips and a large bust. “Zaftig” is probably the best word. The stovepipe jeans she insisted on wearing made her butt look huge; they totally screwed up the proportions of her shoulders, hips and legs.

Being twenty years older and not having more than a nodding acquaintance, I certainly never said anything to her about her appearance; but I always hoped one of her girlfriends would tell her to throw away the skinny jeans and buy some straight legs or boot cuts - she would have looked stunning. Ladies, unless you are heroin-addict/Lindsey Lohan emaciated, lose the skinny jeans.

Second on tattoos. I especially dislike the “Alabama license plate”, otherwise known as the “tramp stamp”.

I never wear super high heels these days, but when my husband and I were young he used to LOOOOVE me to wear them. He said it made my legs look really sexy. He didn’t care that it made me taller than him.

I heard one comedian:

We don’t notice your $300 purse
We don’t notice your $200 shoes
$15 shirt that shows cleavage? Oh yeah.

I love the description I heard when a previously-gorgeous model went and got those: sofa lips.

Some site (I think it’s Awful Plastic Surgery) always calls it “trout pout.”

I used to think high-heels, but a female friend pointed out that they change the posture and shape of the leg, and now I think she was right. A woman in flats can be quite attractive, but for certain outfits heels really do “accentuate the positive.”

For me, it’s nails - painted nails, nail extensions, etc. To me, they’re just gross. A simple mani/pedi looks very nice; the paint and extensions are just nasty and tacky.

/just this man’s opinion

Bagel Heads.

Unless you’re in camouflage, playing for the NFL, or Batman. Those are acceptable exceptions.

But if any of those conditions apply, I don’t want to sleep with you.

But wasn’t Ganguro meant to be hideous though?

Too much make-up or plastic surgery.

I would like to tell anyone dousing themselves in excessive perfume specifically to be unattractive, to choose some other method. It is not only unattractive, it makes some people, including myself, actively ill. :frowning:

Of course I assume the majority of those doing it think it is in fact attractive. They are wrong.

anything.

Most of it has already been said, but I came in to mention Duckface, tramp stamps, and the abominable injected lips.

Some might say she got the tattoo on the small of her back for herself. Ok, then why put it in a spot that is impossible to see 99.999% of the time? Is she advertising she’s easy? Did she think it looked good on the other bimbo with one? I’m truly baffled.

I seriously think the girls with the “sofa lips” have some sort of disorder or something. There’s a big difference between “not my cup of tea” and “you must enjoy making children cry”.

Prolly this.

WTF was that shit?

Long nails, and specifically those “French tip” ones with white on the end. Utterly repulsive.

My feelings about tattoos are fairly well-known - hate them with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns. I find myself actively avoiding looking at otherwise attractive young women.

My wife has only worn make-up on half a dozen occasions during our twenty-five years together, and she does not need it. But I used to live with a girl with such pale skin that she really had to have some minimal amount to see her features in the sunlight.

Tatoos are a turn off.

Piercings are a turn off

I simply ignore fingernail and toe nail polish.

Jewelry of any sort doesn’t do anything for me.

Unnatural hair colour is a turn off.

Think of the money that women could save.

And money, of course, is a big turn ON.
