I confess that although I’m on the right this guy is a total embarrassment and I most certainly do not subscribe to extremist shit such as equating BLM with the KKK or labeling all liberals as evil. It’s as hateful as it is nonsensical and it serves the right ill. Should he be banned though? Much as it pains me to say it, I don’t think he should, at least not until he descends into total hate-speech mode. The SDMB should reflect all spectrums of opinion other than the absolute extremes where speech becomes nothing other than pure and undiluted hate. He hasn’t got there. Yet.
I agree. Banning should be reserved for truly extreme, objectionable, constant hate speech. Just because someone annoys the hell out of you (or everyone) is no grounds for kicking them off the board.

There is a spectrum of idiocy and this one is pure troll, looking for attention and nothing more. I wish folks would just ignore these types and let the mods deal with it in the fullness of time. Responding to them just encourages them. I admit that I may respond to some of them myself as long as it amuses me (not this one, though) but it’s usually not for very long.
I agree that just having views on the Trump side of the spectrum isn’t enough to recommend a banning, after all in reading your posts I find that I generally disagree with just about everything you say, and often times your posts raise my ire, but see no reason to ban you. But unlike B&P your posts actually contain content. You actually engage your critics and provide cites that support your views.
Of the 133 posts made by B&P only two were outside of the Pit. This is because his primary purpose for being here is to insult. Also looking over his posts, he has provided exactly one link, which was in support of his desire to run over protesters with his car. While Clothahump also has a tendency to produce unsubstantiated “Libruls is teh stupid” posts, that is not all he does.
The Pit rules DO prohibit trolling
If the designation of troll do not apply in the case of a poster like B&P then I could not imagine when they would apply.
If B&P believes that he is not a troll, I would ask him to state what his goals are for posting here. However, I suspect that all we will get from him is more insults.
