Yes, folks, I just wrote the payoff check on my student loans! Woo-hoo!
I was calling for information, since the last payment is this December, and the automated phone system told me I could save $50 if I sent a check today. So I did. AND . . . my car loan ends November 15, but the payoff amount was only $3 less, so I’ll let that one be deducted automatically as usual.
But YAY! After November 15, another $329.48 back in my pocket every month! (But only briefly, until I send it off to the credit card people . . . )
