…well, if you don’t count whatever balance is on my credit cards, and really, why should you? I always pay those off on time unless I manage to mistakenly pay the WRONG one, so they don’t count.
Where was I? Right - student loans! It’s been an exciting year in terms of watching student loans shrink away from me ever since I got that tax slip and went ‘hey, I only owe a measly couple thou now??’ I paid off the canada student loans back in full last month, and was waiting for today, because if my calculations were correct…
Check the online banking statement early in the morning, before going to work. No activity.
Check the online banking statement after I get to work - pre-authorized withdrawl of 58 dollars and some odd cents for my student loan payment.
This is MUCH less than my usual ontario student loan payment, which is what happened last time with the CSL. I’ll probably get a letter in the mail around the 4th of june to confirm that the loan account is closed, and to wish me ‘good luck in all my future endeavours’, but I’m not waiting for that confirmation to celebrate! Yay!! Go me!!!
In other news, there’s an employee stock purchase plan starting at work, but in order to enroll I’ll probably have to get a current passport because I don’t have a driver’s license. Hmm…
TO DO FOR CHRIS:
- Get haircut for photos (Need to do this anyway)
- Get passport photos taken
- Visit brother-in-law and have him sign off that I’m who I claim to be
- Submit passport application
- Enroll in stock purchase plan
- Get rich.
(I know, that won’t happen so quickly)
