Debt Free (drinks are on me)

This won’t mean much to anyone that hasn’t written a monthly check for house payments, car payments, school loans, etc. etc. etc. but I’M DEBT FREE AS OF TODAY!

I closed on the sale of my house and used the proceeds to pay off the school loans, credit line, credit card, furniture bills, etc. All of my income is now my own, to do with as I please. Life is good.

Belly up to the bar, the drinks are on me.

Congratulations. If you need any help spending that extra money… let me know. I’d be glad to help.

Let me just say: congratulations, and I hate you.

I will be repaying my student loans forever.

Wow! that’s an accomplishment! Congratulations and hope you can make it last.

It’s amazing how much money you can actually have when you don’t have to pay out towards debts!

Just wait 'til we run up this bar tab. Can you say home equity loan?

Congratulations! My last student loan payment is on January 15th, 2001. I’m going to celebrate it in my usual quiet and dignified manner.

In the meantime, can I have a beer?

Bartender, I want to buy everybody in here a beer. No, just one beer - for everybody. Give 'em all a bottlecap full.

Drink are on you, huh?

Woohoo! Congrats, plnnr!

I am one month from being debt free. It’s holiday time, so that means that in a month i will be two months from being debt free.

I can’t even imagine.
9 years to go - assuming nothing goes wrong…

I’m with Amarinth–I can’t even imagine.

*I rent, so no house payment (although I do need to start saving up for a down payment one of these days).
*Car will be paid for in 10 months.
*Student loans will be paid in full by August 2004.
*Then there’s the credit cards :frowning: However, I’ve made a big dent on those and haven’t put anything on them in a long time. Once the car’s paid for, a lot of that freed-up money will go toward the evil credit cards

I admire debt-free folks, and hope to be one of them myself someday
