I just had to tell somebody. The check to pay off the balance on my final credit card cleared this morning. This is the first time I have not owed on a card or finance plan in 11 years. It feels pretty damn good.

You know what really sucks, I’ve got to buy a new car in a few months, so my monkey free status will be short lived at best. But for now, Yippee!!!
Good for you!!! Now the hard part will be staying that way! 
My hubby worked two full-time jobs to pay off his credit card debt before we married, because he said he didn’t think it was right to marry me while he was still in debt. Bad part is, we racked it all back up over a year’s time.
Debt free is the way to be.
