That would be Benedict Cumberbatch, and, having fairly recently listened to this episode, I am pretty sure it was not his character (Martin, the pilot), but one of the cabin crew, Carolyn or Arthur (probably the former) who zapped the guy with the fire extinguisher.
He is Santa’s black sheep half-brother. They don’t talk about him much after the … elf incident.

When I used to run a school outdoors group we had a strict no smoking policy for the students - I always told them if I saw smoke coming off them I’d assume they were on fire and put them out.
If they were lucky it would be with a bucket of water, on a bad day it would be with a fire rake.

Shoot. I was so focused on getting Cumberbatch right that Benedict got by me. You were right about Arthur. I just listened to it again, and it was Martin’s orders, but Arthur shot the extinguisher.
The video makes no sense at all. Her body language suggests there’s a tiff going on between them and then he gets out a lighter. There is no sign of him trying to light a cigarette.
I second the idea that it was deliberate. I hope there’s a video of him resisting arrest.

Not only that, but by taking the pump out he sprays her with petrol. Until he did that, she was fine. So first he’s just stupid and sets fire to the car, but it’s not enough so then he sprays his wife with petrol as she runs away. :eek:
