Oh thank you Og.
Now I just gotta hope that the legislators in Virginia don’t get the same idea.

I love this comment from the article 2nd Law linked to:
Surely she must have realized that things weren’t as simple as she was trying to make them out to be? Then again, apparently not.

Wow, a bill regarding reproductive rights became complicated - that totally came out of left field! No one could have ever anticipated THAT! Girl putz.
I’d advocate that. There are far too many people in this world who shouldn’t reproduce.
…then again, I feel that the people who should reproduce are the ones being targeted by this bill. Heh.
But regardless, I like the idea of mandatory sterilization.
Can I point out that sterilisation:
a) has a failure rate
b) is irreversible in the majority
c) has risks (it requires abdominal surgery in women, and chronic, intractable, severe, testicular pain is a rare side effect in men)
and most importantly
d) is a fucking invasion of privacy and bodily integrity and tantamount to a severe physical assault if performed against someone’s will.
thanks for your time.
Damn. I was all set to make a killing in black market turkey basters.
This country has been that route before, it wasn’t pretty. Eugenics. (Unless you’re kidding?)
I’m pondering how they will address women who move into the state after having engaged in unacceptable activities while not a resident. All ladies who wish to take up residence have to pee on a stick while a State Trooper watches? Sorry, it turned color-you can’t live here unless you can prove how that thing got in your cooter.
Pardon me while I walk away, shaking my head and muttering to myself.
I’d love to see this law passed, if only for the backlash that would ensue afterwards when people get arrested for unauthorized pregnancies.
