Try it for 3-4 minutes.
Then try to stop.

mmm
Oh, lord…I’m doomed now.
It was a lot more entertaining once I turned the sound on :smack:
Here, too!
Great little time waster there. Kind of hypnotic.
Oh no. Works on Android phones. The damned thing is portable.
You mean there are more of these?
doesnt seem to work on firefox
Works in firefox for me, but since I have no sound (work PC) this is rather lame.
OMG it does chords, i think we need one of these with like a 3 octave range and 40 or so beats.
Beautiful… it’s even hard to make a progression that doesn’t sound good.
Yeah, this is what I’ve found.
A couple things I didn’t realize at first:
You can vary the beats per minute, and you can make your selections on the little diagram above the main ‘instrument’, if you choose.
mmm
The visuals are two beats out of sync with the sound on my compy.

That’s the code to the one I made. I’m rather proud of it.
Damn it, too late to edit: I improved on the previous one!

The reason it’s practically impossible to create something that doesn’t sound is that the whole thing is a pentatonic scale, which is also the scale you use to improvise on a blues and which consists of the most basic notes in our system.
Something more advanced (with other instruments and effects) is this site, hours and hours of fun.
There’s also an instrument called the Tenori-On that’s based on the same tone-matrix principle.
Thank you Pitchmeister, I was coming in to say the same thing. If you use just the black keys on a keyboard, you’ll get similar results- no dissonance. But of course you have to have a keyboard and you can’t carry it with you in your phone!

Too much fun. I love it.
