According to this site, it’s a prank. The name of that crew lurks behind a fair amount of spam; when I checked, Google hit on it more than 700 times.

According to Snopes, shadowcrew has been the subject of a number of trolling spams, probably intended to get people to flood Shadowcrew with complaints.
