This is a joke, right? N. Korea seeks a ban on Team America....

…apparently because it damages thier reputation?

I saw this article in my paper this morning and had to say: WTF?

And why in the Czech Republic, of all places?
The only reason I’m not dismissing this as a joke is because Kim Jong Ill already strikes me as “Bat**** insane”, and thus it seems halfway plasuible.

Then again, maybe he’s just “Ronery”.

I could only guess that the North Koreans have a single creditary embassy somewhere, and that just happens to be in the Czech Republic . . .

Tripler
If I were dictator, I’d want that movie pulled too, under the threat of nuclear war, kapiche?

How could North Korea’s reputation BE any more damaged? It’s not like they were a glowing beacon in the world before the film :stuck_out_tongue:

Why would any nation besides China maintain diplomatic ties with North Korea? (North Korea is China’s mutated, rabid lapdog, after all, so I had to include the modification.) It isn’t like the Czech Republic is Communist, and it fell under the Soviet umbrella even when it was.

And the idea of North Korea and the Czech Republic fighting is absurd, mainly because the North Koreans don’t have any way to lob warheads nearly that far.

(On the plus side, the Czech government isn’t taking this any more seriously than I am. The movie isn’t going to be banned.)

I smell an amibtious & pushy diplomat, who did this on his own hook, to suck up to Kim.
