This is a test

…of the new Ringo-stays-awake-all-afternoon system. I had a pear and a plum for lunch - no carbs, no protein. I really want this to work.

Let me know if it works. I’m gonna take a nap now.

So far so good. Usually I’m cross-eyed at about this time.

Since when is a pear and a plum “no carbs”? Outside of water and possibly some non-nutritive fiber, pears and plums are almost entirely carbohydrates. (Strictly speaking, the non-nutritive [read “indigestible”] fiber is also carbohydrate, but what you can’t digest doesn’t really count.)

I got this from a coworker as well. Live and learn. It did work, though.

I haven’t really paid much attention to my diet and now I suppose I should try and learn a bit. My friend at work has the idea that it’s the rise and fall of blood sugar that has the knockout effect. He might be on to something - I know I’ve recently discovered that when the sleepies roll in, I can stave them off for 20-30 minutes by eating a piece of candy.
