And for the record, I’d hate to see anyone try to “corner the pedo market”, but if someone did, I’d rather they be 18 than 11.
Didn’t mean to single you out for something you didn’t say, but it just seems to me that a lot of people are denying that this gal could be 11 because it’s somehow “better” that she be older. I’ve seen plenty of girls around her age, whom I would have thought were considerably older, if I didn’t see them get on the junior high school bus nearly every morning. Even worse I’ve had people try to “hook me up” with an underage gal who looked older.

I’m going to vote for her being really 11.
If you look only at the face, she still does have childish features. In particular, if you find a picture where her teeth are clearly visible, you’ll notice they’re really large relative to the size of her head, which is typical of children/preteens.
But of course, you have to know to pay attention. In a blind test, I would have given her much more than 11.

If it ain’t a photoshopped picture and the girl is 11, I have nothing but sypmathy for her and nothing but scorn for her parents.
I had D cups before I managed to clear 7th grade and it was altogether a hideous experience for me. Yes, puberty is a natural function of the human body and we should embrace our changing bodies, but sprouting sizable breasts over summer break is painful, embarassing, and leads to all kinds of truly creepy experiences.
All of a sudden you get any number of men whose eyes drop to your chest, stay there, and then their considered opinion of your age goes up. A lot. I had a number of guys twice my age “decide” that I couldn’t possibly be twelve because I had breasts that filled a D cup. I can’t even explain how creepy that is for a twelve year old. I was eighteen before I could bring myself to wear a tank top, let alone a bathing suit, because the adventure of having grown men ogling your boobies and then hitting on you is a LOT LESS FUN when you’re twelve. For Pete’s sake, the only reason I knew I’d been hit on is the profoundly nasty reaction of the people with me (older relatives). It just makes you feel icky and quite a lot more self-conscious than you were before.
It sort of sucked the fun out of growing breasts. It went from “Ooooo neat!” to “Jesus - where I can hide these damn things?”.
Plus it’s sort of tricky to develop a positive body image that’s not completely sexualized when the guys you know all seem totally incapable of actually looking you in the eye. Although, a number of them seemed to be carrying on a meaningful dialog with my nipples. Go figure.
Well that just changes the whole argument.
I don’t think he needs to be horrified…I don’t think she’s 11 either. Young, maybe, but not 11. Don’t forget that Asians tend to look younger than their age anyway. And the fact is undeniable that she is a very attractive young lady.
The mere fact of finding her attractive does not make you a pedophile. Once you find out her age, if you still find her attractive even *that * automatically doesn’t make you one!
As for the blatant use of her body at a young age, I beg to remind everyone of Jon Benet Ramsey. This whoring up of young children needs to stop in every culture.
What gets me is the racisim of the whole thing. A report seemingly from the Japan Times (the quote ends with it being cited) is saying that the Chinese people are so stupid as to be distracted from revisionist history erasing the fact of a vicious assault on their country by Japan with a couple of girlie pics (underage or not). That right there should piss the Chinese off even more.

Could you imagine being the parent of that child? I think I would be the dad sitting on the front porch with a shotgun watching her skip rope.
However, I once worked at a private summer school with kids from 14 to 18 and some of those 14 year old girls could very easily have passed for 19 or older. It was scary. The hair, the make up, let alone the body.
Geez…when I was growing up, I swear there were no girls who looked like that in my class, or in my state for that matter…and I can tell you there were also no 12 year old boys with 5 o’clock shadows either, but that is another story.

I don’t think that Harborwolf suddenly thought that he was a pedo, it’s just a natural reaction when the larger head kicks in and wrests control from the smaller one. Because you realize that the girl in this case looked so mature, that it didn’t even cross your mind for a second that she might be anything other than legal, then to find out that not only is she jailbait, but jailbait of the highest order is a bit shocking. It’s even worse when the jailbait develops a crush on you. Not because you’re worried that you’ll do something, but because A.) Everyone thinks that you’re some kind of sicko creep. B.) The last thing you want to do is hurt a child’s feelings and explaining to them exactly why such a relationship would be wrong (for a variety of reasons) is difficult.

Tuckerfan pretty much hit it on the head. When I found out she was 11, my brain came to a screeching halt. It doesn’t help that my daughter is 8. I know three years is a bit of a leap, but it’s close enough for jazz. :eek:
Now I’m all worried. I thought I had a couple more years to buy a shotgun fer all o’them gentlemen callers.
As for whether or not she is 11, she looks pretty young to me. If she ain’t, then she’s got one heck of a baby face.
