Looking at the food blog over yonder, I came across this article on churros and dulce-de-leche. I know that both of those things are good, and I have no doubts they go good together, but that picture does not instill me with mouth-watering hunger. In fact, it makes me want to never eat a churro or dulce-de-leche again.

I mean, seriously, did no one in the photo/editing departments notice what those things look like next to each other? It’s like “before” and “after” pictures of what’s in my toilet on a day I eat Taco Bell! :eek:

I was thinking they look rather penile. I’m sure there are plenty of people who wouldn’t mind wrapping their mouth around one of those.

I guess there’s a reason they call it “slash” food. Yuck.

They called it “food porn”, but there are definitely some forms of porn that run counter to my tastes.

I looked at that and thought, “Ewww, are they fried hot dogs?” Then I read it, and it STILL didn’t sound good.

They sound good – I’m not entirely sure about the Dulce de Leche, but I guess it’s probably not that much different from caramel – but the presentation! Ugh. Bukakke de Yecch. Smooth out the creamy crap (urf) and use the damn star-shaped tip. It’d make all the aesthetic difference in the world.
