Is there reason to believe he’s not heterosexual? I’m just curious after the South Park episode and now this comment.
I liked the movie, though I found certain things rather annoying, like things that just seemed rather fakey(My favorite is that a plane crashes into the house he’s in. The next morning, there’s a debris scattetered everywhere, but the minivan, sitting right in the middle of the debris field, is completely untouched. No, it wasn’t in the the garage) and the little girl made me want to feed her to the martians. It was quite scary though.
Tom Cruise, to tell you the truth, to me it always seems like he always plays the same character. If you asked me to name a movie where I liked his acting, I couldn’t tell you. He seems more like a placeholder then anything else. He’ll do, but I don’t derive any great pleasure from watching him on screen.
Though in WotW he had a great part for him, a rather clueless character who also happens to be good looking. It’s hard not to play yourself well.
In the 80’s he was always the “Cocky young _______” in his movies.
Now he’s the “slightly older cocky _____” and frankly, no more talented.
C’mon, you can’t tell me you haven’t heard the rumors.
Basically, like every other actor in Hollywood, in his early days, someone started a rumor that he was gay. Which, like I said, who HASN’T been rumored to be gay? But Tom freaks out and starts sueing anyone who even hinted as such.
Then his first wife, Mimi Rodgers, said she left him because he basically refused to sleep with her, wanted to be a monk and wished to “keep his instrument pure”.
Add to his bizarre behavior with Katie Holmes, and I don’t know, there’s gotta be SOMETHING going on. Maybe he’s not gay, but he definitely doesn’t strike me as the most sexually secure individual.
