Wardensu - I thought you made all of us a promise to go back into lurk mode. Bye-bye already.
Oh, and take the voices in your head with you.
You were WHERE when we were in diapers? Vietnam as you have implied? Behind a desk in Texas? WHERE? Do you know the date the Vietnam Conflict officially ended? What month in 1975 did you enter active duty?
I personally feel that you may have served in the military, but my doubts are with your alleged service. You keep implying some type of brotherhood with Vietnam vets and claim some noble “wanted to fight but was held back by The Man” bullshit.
BULLSHIT!!!
Your PEACE-TIME service along with your General discharge is telling another story all together. As one who serves disabled war vets nearly every fucking day of my life (yes, a few weekends each month included, with my NON-PAYING weekend volunteerism to the Homeless Veteran Program), your disgusting attempt to grasp their honor, and use it to support your ugly, hateful, prejudice, incoherent rant makes me want to spit in your ugly fuckin face! You are a waste of skin and I thank the military for tossing your ass out.
Crawl back under your shit pile, Rosie. If you truly served your time in the military, well hip-hip hurrah for you. Was it Honorable service, Rosie? The military didn’t think so, did they? Did you serve time in Vietnam? Your dates of service will show if you were there, but I know better. If not, what’s with the implication of some type of brotherhood with Vietnam vets? They are a tight little group, I’m sure most would be as disgusted with you as we are, if not more.
When you have truly earned the right to speak for all vets and until you are smart enough (I sure as hell ain’t holding my breath) to comprehend the fact that most Americans find it extremely disgusting for you to wrap yourself up in the American flag and demand the honor of truly deserving veterans just to support your hatefilled agenda, then maybe you should keep that ugly flap shut, m’kay Snookums?
filthy - Again, I am only going on what you have written about your friend, but the VA always grants certain conditions as permanent and total and rates under a special law code that pays a higher rate of pay for the disability. It is very specifically spelled out by federal law. A bilateral leg amutation would always be rated under this category as there is no possibility of the leg getting better. It is gone, therefore, permanently and totally disabled. The VA does not schedule periodic examinations to review the condition of these types of disabilities to check for worsening or improvement because they have already determined to be a permant and total condition.
You friend may have had some confusion about this due to VA Medical Center examinations and treatment. However, those examinations would not have reduced his benefit, ever. He may have had other conditions not listed as P&T, those may have been reviewed, but never the amputations.
The reason you were scheduled for exams is that your condition was not rated P&T. After a number of years, a veteran is moved into the P&T category without the special law code additional payment (reserved for special conditions such as “loss of use of”) because the VA has determined the disability to be P&T on account of how long the vet has had the condition.
