This is why Occupy Wall Street is stupid.

Easily enough fixed. The response to the call “what do we want” is already so long that another couple of paragraphs shouldn’t matter.

Oh, look, a social liberal/civil libertarian who can’t see any reason for politics beyond the genitalia. No conception of economic difficulties.

Whatever, princess, we’ve had a generation of twats like you ruining the country with your sex-based idea of liberalism. Time to let the redistributionists take over.

Perhaps there would be fewer economic difficulties if we didn’t have a hundred thousand births per year to unfit parents who can’t raise their children financially or emotionally? But of course any explanation beyond “this is all happening because Arrested Development got cancelled” would challenge the Occupy conception of how the universe works.

 Good one!

The rest of this is not directed at elucidator, I just put that up top because a good joke deserves some props.

Anyway, all the Obama administration did in this is preserve the status quo. The morning after pill was not able to be sold to people under seventeen without a prescription before, and now it’s still not. That’s it. The FDA recommended that it should be, but the Secretary of Health and Human Services said no. Probably because this is election season and teenage sex is a political minefield.

Everybody needs to remember that all that’s happening is that nothing is happening. If Obama is re-elected, it will happen. But it has to wait.

On the username/post matchup scale, I give this one an 8.2.

RISE UP AND FIGHT!..to implement incremental policy changes.

Don’t have a dog in this fight, and I’m not 100% behind the Occupy movements as I don’t think they have a coherent set of demands and are often hijacked by single-issue protestors… yet the OP is so stupid as to have moved into the arena of the mentally incompetent. The mismatch between the complaint and its target reminds me strangely of when Joey Tribiani got hold of a thesaurus.

The missing 1.8 presumably being from use of word “Robot” where “Tool” would be more appropriate.

Remember the good ol’ days when we could just blame Bush for everything?

He was a one stop shop of incompetence, but I’m not sure how that applies to this issue.

He just can’t resist a good centrist partisan jab.

Since when are libertarians “centrists”? I thought we were crazy radicals, but now I feel all warm and fuzzy.

Anyway, apparently my attempt at humor didn’t work. I’ll still be here all week, though.

Fuck this.

You remind me of my grandma’s old Catholic Priest who stopped a sermon to start raging at the flock about all those people who donate and volunteer to help animals. It was bizarre. They sucked, in his view, because they were putting all this energy into helping animals when they should be helping people.

Again, fuck this. They’re trying to do something about a cause they believe in.

Rag on the people who are sitting at home scarfing Cheetos, pissed at the world and doing shit.

I gotta ask, what are you doing, Grandma’s old Catholic Priest and Condescending Robot??

Great post/username combo.

The right has moved so far right taht Obama can pretty much take the left for granted. Are you seriously going to stay home and let the senate and white house flip so that the Republicans can ban abortion and legalize wifebeating?

Well we all like to remember simpler times.

Why? Did you quit your day job?

Emergency contraception is also less effective at preventing pregnancy than condoms, it’s worth noting. Plus if a girl was going through a “I want a baby so I’ll have someone to love me” thing (something that does happen sometimes with teens who haven’t thought realistically about teen pregnancy), it would be very easy for her to trick a guy into impregnating her by pretending to take emergency contraception or taking it and then vomiting it up.

You could argue that maybe that’s a reason not to make emergency contraception as easy to get as condoms: the likely scenario that teens would use it in place of more reliable contraception rather than the way it was meant to be used (as a backup to failed contraception). Even pregnancy risk aside, the lack of STD protection would be another reason that it could be problematic if teens were using emergency contraception in place of condoms.

2013 will be the end of our long national nightmare.

“Not only is Obama a Kenyan Socialist who wants to destroy American Exceptionalism, he’d give the Abortion Pill to 11-year-old girls! He’s a monster!”

Vote for (fill in name of pissheaded opponent here)! He’s not ashamed to say he’s a Christian!!!"
I am sorry that we won’t be seeing that ad in the upcoming campaign.

Ah, the old “Obama has to keep selling out sane values because otherwise he might not get elected by insane people” argument. We’re on year four of this now, when is the part where the huge puppetmaster strategy ends and the alleged Liberal Jesus shows up?

Is it so hard to accept that maybe Your New Bicycle really doesn’t give a shit, and/or was telling the truth when he bragged about his “strong Christian faith?”

I, for one, am strongly in favour of redistributing sex.
