Over on Fox News, nothing once again about a dropping stock market. Seriously - NOTHING. Scroll to the very bottom of the page and you have many hundreds of articles but if you search for “dow” or “stock”, no hits.

Once I got past the intractable cnet hijack……the only story about the effect on tariffs was a story quoting a Trump Adminstration official who said tariffs wouldn’t make the price of eggs go up.
I’m surprised they weren’t cheering the recent drop in oil prices, which is only happening because tariffs will paralyze international trade, which is very oil intensive.
I searched for “stock” and the first hit I got was “Stock markets crashing in response to tariff announcement” though that was a news headline from 5 days ago. But, yeah, on the front page it’s pretty buried.
A couple days ago, I heard him, or one of his lackeys, wonder why coal miners would need PBS. Ahem, because there are coal miners who WATCH it, even if it’s just “Sesame Street” with their kids?
They just had to go and prove me wrong. They are now featuring a story on the stock market collapse. And by featuring, I wonder if you can locate on this screenshot (spoiler below image):
Bottom left is the headline news. Also, slides 300 points? Nice cherry picking of data since it’s down over 4000 in the last 5 days.
Also, that is down over 1780 points from the intraday peak.
Just a gentle slide! Not a precipitous drop as all the fearmongers are hawking.

This morning they are reporting on the stock market, but trying to put a positive spin on it. Check out the headline below. If only they waited like three minutes to see it shit the bed, once again. We are currently down 300 points on the day, so a net of 500 since they cherry-picked their data point from. And yes, I know I’m cherry-picking, but I’m not a news agency desperately trying to put any sort of positive spin on this absolute shit-show.
Well, Fox is not a news agency either. It’s the new Ministry of Truth, the propaganda arm of the conservative movement, the mirror that reflects back to the narcissistic right what they want to see.

Meanwhile, Dow is still down about 8% since inauguration day.
What are the chances that Trump and Co. made off like bandits shorting the stock market? I heard somewhere that Trump’s economic advisors are former hedge fund strategists, isn’t this type of market surfing their bread and butter?
