This Just In...Fox News Channel is bunch of lying fucks

Seems he wasn’t paying attention in the sentence structure education.

Or what the fuck Karl Marx wrote vs Hitler. Sounds like this dude loves Mein Kampf and wanted to see where it was written. Dumbshit.

I was a dumbshit at 20, and I have not gotten any less so since.”

Trier is very proud of a famous native son even if his work is controversial and not widely accepted in the west. You go to Trier, there are statues and plaques and things everywhere.

The obvious stupidity is mixing up the books. The unobvious stupidity is that it sounds like he went to Trier and found it challenging to locate the history.

Also, Das Kapital, which bozo apparently meant to reference, was published in 1867, not 1848.

Maybe he confused it with Thackeray’s Vanity Fair, which launched the modern Communist movement in 1848. :upside_down_face:

The Communist Manifesto was published in 1848. Workers of the world unite!

Yeah, 1848 was the big revolutionary year. Lots of strikes, marches, and other miscellaneous craziness.

The year of the first German national, democratic parliament in St. Paul’s Church, Frankfurt. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long and the feudalists successfully fought back, like in so many other countries in that year.

Worst wildfire in the US in a century. Death toll approaching 100.

And Fox “news” website inexplicably refuses to cover the story. It’s baffling. Someone has given an order to the network to pretend this does not exist for some reason. I have no idea why this would be remotely a normal thing for a “news” network to do.

Perhaps not on their website, but I was able to find several Fox News stories on the wildfires on YouTube.

There are a ton of stories about it on their website. Could be they’re keeping it off the front page, but they’re covering it (for whatever Fox is capable of legitimately covering anything).

Huh. I see one now:

Hawaii Democrat stunned by Biden’s ‘no comment’ on deadly wildfires

But then after that there are a “ton” of stories like:

Riley Gaines slams Trudeau after trans powerlifter sets unofficial women’s world record

Woman sues Eataly Boston over ankle injury allegedly caused by prosciutto

Meet the American who invented the folding beach chair, Fredric Arnold

I’m not sure where you’re seeing this “ton” of stories about the tragic Maui fires. I certainly don’t see them.

Yes, I’m sure they are forced to cover it on the TV channel - the visuals are stunning and sad. But on the website? Nothing except for the aforementioned political shit-job.

Type “Maui” into the search box at the top of their page.

Followed by:

True story. That is the top two Hawaii articles on their website.

Trump suggested tossing rolls of paper towels would be the presidential response.

What a dipshit.

I’m struggling to even figure out what point he thought he was making.

So let’s say the dipshit doesn’t screw up the book title. And let’s say he gets everything grammatically correct. Hell, let’s be really charitable: let’s say this isn’t mere Vapid Talking Head Segue Chatter and he has the time, space, and ability to spit out multiple articulate paragraphs expounding his story and sharpening his thesis.

Even then… um… what? Can any of you Wingnut Whispers™ translate?

I think maybe he’s warning of the dangers of liberal indoctrination in the classroom? As illustrated by the time he – as a victim of said indoctrination? – foolheartedly trekked to a town in Germany as an homage to evildoer Marx?

Or something?

Pretty sure the intended message is something like, “Fresh out of school, as a product of American leftist education, I thought Marxism was something worth being interested in and finding out more about.”

Gee, I wonder how the the demographics of Lahaina played into how Fox covers the story.

Just counted six stories on the Fox website main page about the Maui fires. Two seemingly straightforward. Three others attack the Biden administration over its handling of/comments about the fires, one goes after Paris Hilton for vacationing on Maui.

How far did you have to go down to get to those two? I’ve yet to see a Maui fire article along the top unless it was bashing Biden. There are hundreds of articles on the main page so I would expect at least two real articles buried somewhere.
