This Just In...Fox News Channel is bunch of lying fucks

“We’re not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term.” --Republican Senator Lindsey Graham

Thus, the “culture wars.”

Thus, Fox News, OANN, and Newsmax.

Thus, “angertainment.”

And Jesus wept.

Yes, Jesse Watters is a long-time racist fuck. At least he’s not lying about his views this time, I suppose. Maybe he’ll get fired for telling his truth on Fox.

Islamic extremists attack another country. Jesse Watters: I’ve had it with Arab Americans

White Christians attack this country: Jesse Watters: <crickets>

I think somebody posted this elsewhere, but it belongs here as well.

Hannity:

“Democrats are trying to scare women into thinking Republicans don’t want abortion legal under any circumstances.”

Hey, Sean, you might wanna check on recent legislation enacted in Texas, the Dakotas, Idaho, Alabama, Mississippi, and several other states. You also might check the views of Mike Pence, Asa Hutchinson, and Tim Scott, among others.

He, of course, is blaming the messenger; in this case, the godless Democrats.

See this is what happens when you give breeding stock the vote. Grrrrr!

This is cute.

Fox News headline on the announcement of a vaccine against chikungunya virus, which causes potentially serious illness spread by mosquitoes:

“FDA approves first vaccine against virus that allegedly poses a ‘global health threat’”

Note the use of “allegedly” accompanied by scare quotes to minimize the idea of a global health threat.

Fox is playing to its Covid denialist, paranoia-fueled government-mistrusting audience.

Sickening.

Speaking of Fox new Headlines:

Biden invokes wartime powers to funnel taxpayer dollars into crackdown on home appliances

Are Jack booted paramilitary thugs going to bust down my door and abduct my toaster to a CIA black site? :astonished:

No, Biden is simply using the 1950 Defense Production Act to give money to manufacturers to boost production of electric heat pumps. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

That headline is really ridiculous, even for Fox. Jeez.

BTW, I put heat pumps into a house that I rent out in Maine and so far, they’ve been great!

I don’t understand these kinds of things (c.f. all the Repos-e.g. Rick Scott-freaking out when Biden gave a speech in Congress saying that they wanted to end Social Security, when Scott himself had been on record as favoring exactly that). Wouldn’t Hannity instead be saying to his (captive) audience “Yes! The GOP wants to end abortion forever in this country! Yay!” I mean, as indicated you can EASILY find examples of NUMEROUS GOPers saying exactly that, as well as several states which have already passed such laws.

I mean, why do people keep voting for these bozos unless they DO want them to pass (repeal existing laws rather) these types of legislations? Certainly Fox News itself would have already proudly announced these new laws to their loyal audience all day every day, right?

What am I missing?

I avoid having hannties, but sometimes they can be hard to get rid of. Usually I can get them loose when I take a shower.

I guess we shouldn’t be surprised?

Fox is a lying sack of shit.

“Democrat voter” that Fox News invited to discuss former President Donald Trump’s Iowa town hall is actually a “politically homeless,” anti-vaccine activist who has said Democratic candidates “are an automatic no-no for me” and that she was “voting down ballot Republican” in last year’s midterm elections,

In the wild, many birds have a symbiotic relationship with animals and will pick the hannities right off of them.

I once learned that when shearing sheep, the first thing you have to do is remove the hannities that gather around the back end, as you don’t want them contaminating the fleece.

because, to Sean, “fleece” is a verb

I didn’t see this one within this thread (7/2023):

Three former high-ranking Fox executives are blasting Rupert Murdoch for Fox News’ role spreading disinformation in the public discourse.

In a joint statement published Wednesday, the executives — Preston Padden, Ken Solomon, and Bill Reyner — expressed profound regret for their roles helping Murdoch build Fox in its early days. Padden was Fox’s chief Washington lobbyist; Solomon was the vice president of network distribution; and Reyner was the lead outside counsel.

While none of the executives worked on Fox News, the work they did on behalf of Murdoch decades ago established Fox as a national television force and helped pave the way for the birth of the right-wing channel.

“At the time of our work in the 1990’s, we all greatly admired Rupert Murdoch and his vision and bold efforts,” the trio said in their statement. “We genuinely believed that the creation of a fourth competitive force in broadcast television was in the public interest.”

“We never envisioned, and would not knowingly have enabled, the disinformation machine that, in our opinion, Fox has become,” they added."

What you need is a bonfire of the hannities.

So, Sean Hannity is a Klingon?

Hannity comes before a fall.

Reminds me of an old Star Trek joke about finding Klingons hanging around a moon.

Or a big stinky orange gas giant.

People, you find Klingons on Uranus.
