"This Line Is Busy."

“For 90 cents we will continue to try the call…”, well y’all probably know the rest of this, right?

How many people actually use this service, I wonder? I have only bare bones phone service along with my ADSL, because I don’t need call forwarding etc. I also realize that the busy-redial feature comes with the package, but why would anyone like me wanna pay 90 cents when they can just redial on their phone?

My point is, is it lucrative enough for BellSouth (or whoever your service is with) to continue to offer the service, based on usage (or non-usage, in my case)?

Thanks

Quasi

I HATE this ‘service’ with a passion. They added it without asking to my phone a couple of years ago. My computer was set to redial the access number for my ISP automatically when it got a busy signal (which it got pretty often for a while), after they added this I had to wait and listen, click cancel, then try to reconnect, instead of leaving the computer to keep trying until it got through.
