The answer is simple (although time’s a-wasting):
Rent a VFW hall, firehouse, or other venue that’ll hold large numbers of people.
Set up a standard Super Bowl box pool. If you need help on setting one up, here’s the one I ran last year (ignore the bit about bonus boxes).
Charge $100 per box. Buying a box gets you an invite to the event.
Take the $10,000 you get from selling out the box pool and buy three really nice TVs (roughly $2000 models) and one sweet honkin’ 60" plasma (roughly 3 grand).
Instead of cash payouts for the pool, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd-quarter winners get the smaller TVs, and the final winner gets the sweet set. Take the extra $1,000 to pay off the hall and other expenses.

I can do better. I’m an Ottawa Renegades fan. They can’t even make the playoffs in the CFL, where 6 out of 9 teams are in!
