This place may have gotten me a 5 on the US Government AP...

Well, in my little school, lo these many years ago, we didn’t have all them fancy AP classes you’re talking about. We had only AP English, U.S. History, and American Government, and you had to take them at a prescribed time.

I still remember calling my dad when I got the results of the first AP test I took: “Dad! I got a 5 on my AP exam!” “I am supposed to congratulate you or punish you? Is that good or bad?”

I wish you the best of luck – and good luck on your Lit test coming up!

Sorry, should verify: it’s up to each and every individual school when you get to take an AP class – my point was just that it isn’t determined by the College Board.

And Jodi, that was probably a quirk of your school. When I was preparing for my AP Physics test, I used old AP tests, including some from the 1970’s. It hasn’t really changed much. (IB, on the other hand, changes its requirements all the time. It’s like European football vs. American football.)
