This week I used duct tape to

  1. Tape together 2 peices of tube that used to be attached to each other inside my toilet tank.

I used duct tape to make custom dressmaker’s dummies of me and two friends.

…make the two-legged dinosaurs in my son’s playset tail-heavy. They don’t seem to stand very good without that duct tape counterbalance. Yet another use for this highlight of modern technology.

I used duct tape last week to cover a rupture in my lawn sprinkler hose. It worked really well for exactly 12 seconds, at which time it lost adhesion over the hole and diverted the spray in a small 10 foot arc toward my neighbor.

Every day in my truck, the roll of tape laying on the transmission hump holds my Diet Coke steady. My truck was made with only two drink holders, and they are on the INSIDE lid of the glove box. (WTF??? I’ve always wondered why the manufacturer decided to put them there, of all places.)

And my sister-in-law and her bridesmaids got wrapped in tape for dress molds too.

… hold together the Enterprise. Oh wait, that was Scotty. Damn. Which just shows that he is better than LaForge. Yah!

Just a second Duck Duck Goose, first of all I would not have a chihuahua as a gift, on a bet or on a bun. This maiden lives a few houses away. Next of all, those dogs are really the piranha of the dog world: fierce and sometimes mean. And last of all, those were my favorite jeans, worn to perfection.

::sniff::

And I’m still having evil chihuahua thoughts.
Baked chihuahua with yams
Chihuahua baby butt wipes
Chihuahua vacuum cleaner bags
Chihuahua door mats
Chihuahua mitten holders (2 pairs)

Wallpaper
Car
Backpack
Carpet covering. (there is a virtual web of wires under a layer of duct tape in my apartment)

And rember kids…

If it can’t be fixed with duct tape, its not broken.

If the women don’t find ya handsome, they ought to find you handy…

'Twasn’t this week…but I’m so proud that I just had to share:

I used duct tape (folded and stuck together) to create a custom-made holder to keep my knitting supplies organized in my knitting bag. There are pockets for knitting needles, a ruler, crochet hooks, and yarn needles. It is a thing of beauty.

I have a niece who is 16 and she made a purse out of duct tape, it was…ummm…very interesting.

As for myself… I am ashamed to say that I have no duct tape…but I will pick some up today, as I feel the need to “fix” something!!
