This weeks's Enterprise spoiler.

I didn’t see the trailer but I heard the radio ad for this episode; they did the same thing. I actually thought it was a cool bit of deception

It was during this exchange that I had to quit watching the show; it’s becoming a habit for me to abandon an episode before the Act 1 credits are done.

Please forgive me for continually harping on this issue. I intended to let it be, but the stupidity of this scene cannot be dismissed. The admiral complains of a little static – when the reception is better than I have on my cellphone! Then Archer assures him it will improve once they deploy the first subspace relay.

I don’t even care anymore that having subspace radio invented this early breaks with established Trek continuity. I just want to know why they need a relay when they can already communicate almost flawlessly!

I’ll say it again: the show should’ve left Enterprise alone in the wilderness like Lewis & Clark until they return to Earth at the end of each year to report their findings and receive new orders.

You must have some cell phone, with video like that. ^:)^

Same reason I need to see satellite T5, channel 16 perfectly. (That’s where the Enterprise feed is)
**

Agreed, that would have been outstanding, but they didn’t ask me. Miss Kitty is the only one in town.

Off on another tangent…

I was listening to canned music while waiting for tech support on the phone the other day, and they just happened to play the theme song from Enterprise–except that it wasn’t the same version, though it was the same singer, and I swear it sounded a lot better than the one they play on the show.
Even so…Has there been any talk of changing the theme song?
Sorry for the hijack.

Nitpick, but I loved how T’Pol made note of the cargo hold’s current rate of decompression, and the next shot showed everyone just staring at the hole in the bulkhead, sucking out air.

If I’m Archer or anyone else stuck in that tin can, I’m grabbing boxes or taking off my jacket to stuff it into the hole, so that more air doesn’t leak out.

Yeah that bugged me too. It wasn’t that big of a hole, they should have been able to plug it…

“Hull plating to maximum!”

I have this mental image of men in space suits racing around the outside of the ship, frantically welding extra metal on.

Oh yeah I almost forgot.
Things I learned about Star trek this episode:

Nausican’s were originally space pirates in Leather two piece suits.

Any body else a little bugged by their choice of apparel?

oh yes… booo time travel episodes suck! ('cept that tribble one… oh yeah and City on the edge of the river(Shatnerism)… ok and Yesterday’s Enterprise…but that’s it…First Contact)

I think the mechanism for time travel often sucks.
“Sure, you whip around the sun and you’re in time warp.” And the Cardassian vole looks down at the Paklid and says to the bar tender, “Doesn’t everybody have one?”
It is also used far to frequently, as if this space exploration stuff has become boring; but it’s not boring in Enterprise, it’s new and strange and interesting.
