For commercials, the Geico commercial with the woodchucks never fails to get an audible chuckle from me. Occasionally, I’ll search for it on Youtube just for that reason.

I’ve had both tomatos and avocados served alonside more traditional fruit (banana, orange, etc) in fruit salads in various parts of Indonesia. Unusual to westerners, but they both fit right in.
(I also had an avocado cappuccino from a Starbucks-style coffee chain store in Yogjakarta, it was actually very tasty, if a little greenish…)

Then everything is a fruit. Because you can do that with anything.
My wife and I found an old cookbook in a little store in Forks, WA that was part of the “free book” pile, and it had a bunch of recipes recorded from a small town back in the 50s-60s. Most of them had some amount of vodka, celery, and/or mayonnaise in them, including desserts and a couple of Jello salad recipes. (The reason we grabbed the book initially is because the small town is one my wife’s grandmother grew up in.)
So yeah, you can put anything in a Jello salad. Whether you should or not is a different question.
