This Xmas season, I haven't seen. . .

any "singing Xmas trees.

Last year, they were in all the convenience stores.

They were battery-operated,made of plastic, about a foot or so tall, and had eyes and mouth.

The eyes would light up, and the mouth would move as it sang “Jingle Bells.”

Has anyone seen any this year?

They seem to have been replaced by dancing Santas. We never know when we’re well off.

My neighbor just brought one home from the grocery store last night, and her 8 year old daughter just had to bring it over to show us…

I have seen plenty of the silly things, as well as the dancin’ Santas. (Which never fail to crack me up! But my hubby hates 'em)

Were you asking because you regretfully missed your chance to buy one last year, and truly want one now? If so, I can find out where the neighbor got hers; chances are it was from a national chain discount store.

Well that was ambiguous. I was thinking of my own shopping I should be going to do and put “grocery” in there without meaning to. She did not get it at the grocery store.

Well, Chrome, I guess you’re just lucky you don’t live here in beautiful Florida, where you can indeed buy dancing Santas at the grocery store.

I don’t know where you are in MT, but I spend a lot of time in Roscoe (near Red Lodge). I love the grocery shopping there because the grocery store has just food in it, which means it doesn’t need to be the same size as an Olympic stadium.

I did get one last year, but it was defective.

The top of it is supposed to bob from side to side keeping beat, but mine didn’t.
It kept a permanent list of about 20 degrees.
That’s why I was looking for one to replace it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it swings back and forth.

I won’t be impressed until these things are fully animatronic and give me a massage.

Peace.

Yesterday after church Mrs. Rastahomie and I went out to eat and we saw a Dancin’ Santa at a Chinese restaurant!!! I’m still giggling about that.
