Those CDC hos

This comes up in thread after thread (links available upon request) … the CDC is apparently a bunch of hos.

When debating with gun rights advocates, data provided by the CDC is shot down because they are a tool of the anti-gun conspiricy.

When second-hand smoke issues waft up, the data provided by the CDC is part of the anti-smoker’s rights industrial complex.

Cited links in a discussion about vaccinations and autism accuse the CDC of participating in a cover-up, or at least active spin control, to provide immunity to the pharma profiteers from liability.

Boy. And all this time I thought the CDC was made up of underpaid academic types who are well-versed in the critical analysis of epidemiologic research. Little did I know that they a just a bunch of hos.

(My first Pit thread BTW!)

You are now officially a Pit Slut, Seid. Welcome to the Club!

Um, I didn’t know the CDC was an actual "hos"pital, I thought they just did research…

<< whisperwhisperwhisper >>

Oh…

Never mind.

The strangest thing about the Centers for Disease Control is their fitness campaign, featuring the slogan “Verb-It’s What You Do™.”

And the scariest thing about the VERB campaign:

So, the concerned entertainment industry is generously donating its pocket change to fund some public service announcements that everybody will simply ignore but that fulfill their FCC obligations and make them look good, telling kids not to play Playstation 'cause it’ll give 'em diabetes.

Uh huh. Right.

“Mom, Disney says I watch too much TV, and AOL says I shouldn’t surf the Internet so much, it’ll give me diabetes, so can we go buy a badminton set, can we, can we, huh? And after we get back, there’s an AfterSchool special on ‘Getting Fit’ that I wanna watch…”

FWIW, I know one of those underpaid academic CDC types . . . and while she’s not actually a ho, she did spend quite some time demonstrating condom use on vibrators. It was for a project. Really.

Sorry to continue the hijack, but that “campaign” is bizarre to say the least.
