If anything, I think knowing they are Hitler’s work makes people appreciate them more, as, if they weren’t Hitler’s, I don’t think anyone would have ever seen them. They’re just generic.
In fact, I knew it was Hitler’s work partly by the mediocrity (and partly because I remember a few.)
Meh. I neither like nor dislike them, so I voted other. I guessed they were Hitler’s pretty quickly. They’re OK. Much better than I can do, but then again, I’m not an artist either. They’re just nothing that interest me.
I’m also not sure what the point of the whole exercise is.
Ah Hitler. Interesting twist. They remind me more of old timey postcards than paintings so I thought perhaps the twist would be that they were some kind of photograph tracing technique.
I came in to post the exact same thing. I would be surprised to see them hanging in someone’s home, or in a museum, but they’re exactly the kind of thing that I’d expect to see in a hotel. They’re fairly well executed, for the most part. Probably better than what most adults could do, from a draftsmanship sense.
No, if it did, I’d be all, “Good GOD, that’s horrid, and the person who did it must be a really fucked up individual!”
No, it’s just sucks. I’m guessing that if Hitler had taken the initiative, he could have improved, MAYBE. But it’s just really uninspired and bland. No personality. You would have thought that someone like Hitler would do art that would involved puppies being stabbed or something like that.
