Zoe, your kindness is so appreciated . Don’t spend too much time worrying though. You know nothing these people can do to me can ever cause me anything close to one iota of discomfort and I know you know why . Most are just children having thier fun passing judgment as so many do every day in this world . I know that your aware of what your reward will be . A great gossamer pair of wings for your deeds here . Don’t think the ones who count don’t know about them either. I can smell your deeds all the way over in the middle of the desert and the other good people who read your fine words can too. Let the children have thier fun . I assure you I will . I’ll give them some things to think about although I know they wont . They will continue to cry out that my words fill them with anger and hate . And that is as it should be with children . I’m sorry man. I know I have a place here and I sent Dio a personal e-mail apologizing as I felt he went out of his way for me and I know you did too as well as others . It really took getting banned if only for a day for me to really get it . I don’t plan to waste my time here bickering with the children who just want to pick a fight . I know I have said before I first came here to learn and meeting people like you and Dio and Zoe means a lot to me. It makes dealing with the children bearable. I don’t plan to spend my time in the pit as it’s an invitation for disaster. I will participate in great debates and in MPSIMS much more as serious things and humour are more my style .I just choose humour first many times because in my youth I chose hate and violence so I try to avoid it when I can . When provoked sometimes I react before giving alot of thought as it had served me well in the past and in real life saved my ass many times. I have all of the issues that troubled me worked out and put behind me and apologies issued were they are due. I’m sure I have forgotten a few and be sure I will relate them to those that are deserving as they cross my path. As for the others who I have otherwise offended in time you will see my words will ring true as I know as much as I would like you will never see my deeds but if words are all I have to make you see that I speak the truth so be it . If you can spare the time so can I .

Other members have gotten off to as quickly earned (an odd phrase, as you’ve been here for a while) a dubious reputation as you have, and have, in time, become welcome and respected posters. You also can do that.
And, yes, frankly, you may want to avoid the Pit for a while, till you get used to it. I’ve noticed in the last couple of days that your posts in other forums are much less confrontational. The Pit seems to bring out the worst in you.

Omegaman, I hopefully have a bit of perspective from someone whose walked a step or two in similar shoes (minus any violence) and have always lived under a mother’s shadow who bears the same burdens that you seem to do.
[ul][li]Some things aren’t necessary to share ever, like being able to achieve orgasm 7 billion times or make 462 gazillion dollars per minute. Others only rarely, like having Michael Jordon as a best friend or the box seats for the World Champion team-of-your-choice. Therefore, with this crowd, it actually hampers your message to probably mention Jesus with every other breath. Don’t be ashamed, and certainly bring Him into the picture when it’s necessary, but otherwise know your audience so that you don’t turn them away with an unpalatable message. Because I’m pretty sure that’s not the goal you wish to achieve.[/li][li]Whether it’s fair or not, someone who openly identifies as a Christian is undoubtedly held to a higher standard than others. Therefore anything that smacks of beratement, coercion or moral superiority is not only frowned upon, but ridiculed and eviscerated. It’s perfectly fine to be, and act, human. However, pandering to an immature squabble will only undermine your sincerity and witness. I can’t stress these enough… but LISTEN. Also, see multiple sides. Give the benefit of the doubt. Acknowledge any who want to befriend/help/stand up for you. Leave the back and forth for those who enjoy that sort of thing (either in GD or playfully teasing Auto).

It’s kind of like Christ’s suggestion for us to “turn the other cheek.” The peace gained from both; not allowing anger to mar your interactions and re-considering anything you have to say before you post, will save your sanity and promote respect, understanding and mutual learning. There’s many more too. Just be true to your belief in a higher love and that should cover, I would think, any earthly concerns.[/li][/ul]
I don’t know if this will help or if it sounds wise rather than idiotic. But I do pray you find what you need here, and in turn, shine your light on everyone with a simple but beautiful candle. That way, you can toss out the bull horn and spot light. No undermining need apply.
