There was a thread in IMHO a couple of days ago that I reported to admins because it seemed to have trolling and inappropriate content in it. Now this thread seems to have disappeared. My question (just for my own information, not as any judgement on mods or admins) is; are threads of questionable content being deleted? (This was also touched on in a locked BBQ Pit thread - I’m just looking for confirmation that I understand what’s going on). Thanks.
On the Pizza Parlor, where the forums are constructed along the metaphor of a restaurant specializing in pizza, we have a room called Dry Goods Storage, or something of the sort, visible only to moderators and administrators, where threads that not merely contain but are in toto in violation of board rules are put out to pasture. Non-staff members, of course, cannot read or comment on them there.
While I am not privy to the policies and procedures of the internal workings of the Evil Nazi Moderator Clique ™ here (;)), I’m confident that they have a similar stashing place and that the threads you inquire about have been moved there – for review if questionable and for permanent dead storage if clear offenders.
Threads are not deleted, but removed from public view.
Ah, there you go. I wasn’t just imagining things.
