I often have “How the hell can you wear that?!?!” threads in my head, but I know that they would not go well, I would get called mean names and then I would feel bad. So now when I see someone wearing something that makes me shudder, I just try to look the other way and quit composing the post. 
I just thought of a new one: “Why Do People Post In Threads Without Reading Them First: Or, Don’t Just Repeat What Someone Else Wrote 1 Hour/Day/Week Ago.” :mad:
That might actually fall under the auspices of “What The Fuck Is Your Problem,” though . . . damn, Hal, I think you’re my new hero!

Every now and then, I mull over the subject line, Really Bad Thread Ideas, to solicit titles for threads that will either sink like stones or turn into trainwrecks.* But then I wonder if that wouldn’t be the actual result of the thread itself, flirting with inflammatory material, so I pull back.
(Sample: “Hey lesbos! Does this make you hot?”) You get the idea.
I think you’d not do too badly with such a thread, especially now. I am aware that Atkins worked very well for some people, but it was a limited number. Anyway Atkin died short and heavier than me, so it obviously didn’t work too well for him.

I was half-tempted to start a truely MPSIMS thread mentioning that the banks machines here (or at least, the one I used yesterday) now have an option for American currency. Then I decided it wouldn’t go anywhere and didn’t bother.
I was also surpsied recently to have a machine spit out four blue pieces of paper instead of one green one a couple weeks ago. My bank is trying to mess with my head, I think. Didn’t bother starting a thread on that either.
I have an idea for one that I’ve been holding back on for some reason, but I’m not going to tell because I think I’m going to post it anyway.
