Threadspotting

I have tried and tried to find some information on Threadspotting to no avail. Can someone explain it to me? From what I understand its purpose is to point out the “best of” posts. I would love to look at some of them but cannot for the life of me figure out how to find them.

Thank you for your patience.

On the Archives page (accessible through the Straight Dope home page) is a list of former Spotted Threads (scroll down). Or just look here.

Thank you zut:smiley:

Yes, it’s a three times a week sampling of great stuff from the board.

Which reminds me, I could use some more nominations. When you see a thread that is so informative or so interesting or so funny or so . . . just perfect (and we got a bunch of 'em, we do), it might well be good enough to share with the rest of the world. To do that, you need to send me an email with a hyperlink.

I’ll give you credit if you tell me how you want to be listed in your email. If you want to try writing a tagline for it, I use those as well, when they’re really good.

And please remember: Since this goes on the Straight Dope front page and gets featured to people who maybe don’t ordinarily read the board, you need to be attentive to things like profanity; not necessarily Sunday-school perfect (though that’s not bad either), but, well, most Pit threads don’t qualify, if you get what I mean here.
