Well, if it is fentanyl, that is certainly multiple human deaths facilitated by a human-created & distributed poison. If they’re still being distributed, or had been in the past, that sounds like a serial killer to me.
The victims are probably complicit rather than random, though.
I ain’t worried about shit.
But, it’s like keystone cops are investigating this.
If it hadn’t been for the family/friends (who were kinda idiotic in their own way) these guys may have not been found til a spring thaw and the meter reader tripped over one.
Is there any reason that should be publicly released straight away though?
Its an aspect of US life I can’t get used personally (I’ve been here 20+ years), when there is some hideous crime, why should every last detail of the investigation be released to the public? I get the next of kin need to be kept informed, but why should every last awful detail be immediately released to the press to be combed over ad nasuem by what passes for news nowadays?
According to Weather Underground, the high temperature in KC on Sunday, January 7th was 37, and the low was 29. There was no precipitation. For Monday the 8th it was 36 and 32, with no moisture. And for Tuesday the 9th it was 32 and 18, with .71 inches of precipitation, more than likely in the form of snow.
If they didn’t there would be no reason for crimes to be reported. So we lose the rest of the newspapers, TV news. About 1000 news magazine shows. Internet news sites. The straight Dope breaking news posts.
Collapse of the economy and we’ll know NOTHING.
Annihilation of mankind and total chaos. Gnashing of teeth and hand wringing. Tears, people fainting in the streets.
Yes, but the coroner can’t go into court, and testify that he “just knew” something. His testimony has to be backed up by scientific facts. And real life doesn’t happen like an episode of Law and Order. It takes time to run tests, analyze results, and write up your report.
They run tests in book ins at jails to decide on charges to apply to under the influence suspects.
Seems to me a preliminary test would be known pretty quickly. To establish cause of death. Not for a court case. Who knows, may not be a court case, at all.
There is a good chance the three died from bad dope and if so it is important to stop the supplier of that bad dope from providing it to other customers–who consequently die from it.
