Three Minute Mysteries, or How Come? Chapter II

was mrs. griffin bound with anything?

Realhoops, if you get this on your first post, you have to give me your cigar.

Hey, no fair, the new guy’s gonna win!

Is the bed:

In a Hospital?

In Mrs. Griffin’s home?

In a Hospice?

In an extended care facility?

Letting my inner child run loose and break things.

Sure do. My only regret is that so few of the puzzles in it are worthwhile for this. Most of them are logic puzzles, and they don’t need yes/no questioning; they can be solved on their own.

But there are a few that work… and I think this, or something close to it, was one.

Were they like REALLY HUGE SCISSORS that could cause brain damage when hit over the head with?

It’s been a long day. I’d better go home and eat

Realhoops, pay no attention to Coldfire. He’s EUROPEAN.

Just to make sure we don’t get bunged for being too specific-

Did Mrs. G overdose on drugs?

SwimmingRiddles asks: Was Mrs. G ill before her untimely end?
NO (although you and I may differ as to what “ill” means)

Realhoops asks: Did she use the scissors to cut open some poison?
NO

Hey, I’m new here… do I get credit just for trying?
YES
aschrott asks: was mrs. griffin bound with anything?
NO

Redwing asks: Is the bed:
In a Hospital?

In Mrs. Griffin’s home?

In an extended care facility?

Coldfire asks: Were they like REALLY HUGE SCISSORS that could cause brain damage when hit over the head with?

Flypsyde asks: Did Mrs. G overdose on drugs?
NO

Was her death suicide?

Was her death an accident?

Was her death murder?

Thanks for the welcome… I didn’t get a cigar, but I surely would have shared it if I had… guess I’ll keep trying!

Was Mrs. G electrocuted?

Is she “recently” dead, or has she been dead for some time?

“Words fascinate me. They always have. For me, browsing in a dictionary is like being turned loose in a bank.” - Eddie Cantor

Oh well…can’t stick around for the answer to this one :frowning:

No cigars for me yet, but a couple of nice alley-oops, I think! Thanks for the fun.

The cards with the diamonds are the ones that allow the yes/no questions, but I’ve found that most of those contain the answer in them if you just read them carefully enough. I went through my cards the other night to see if I could find any appropriate to post, and did manage to come up with a dozen or so, even on just a quick run-through of them. This scissors one is one of them I pulled out. GMTA, huh? The skywriting one you did the other day was also in that game, as was the pack of wolves one. That’s why I figured you must have it, too.
