I chose #5 since 1) I don’t commute anymore, but when I did, I hated the long drive and waste of time every day, especially when I just want to get home after a long day. And 2) There isn’t a bigger fan of BttF than I.
You people have a choice of a flying machine where you could almost go in a straight line home and you still prefer to drive on the roads with traffic?
I’m taking my flying machine and flying over your asses at 87 MPH while you sit in congested traffic going 5 MPH.
Work is stressful. The last things I want to deal with at the end of another long, stupid fuckin’ day are speed limit changes and deer. So, road #1 for me. I like to set cruise control, sing along with Mike Patton, and let my mind blank out until I get home.
The road less traveled. I drive a convertible. When it’s cold or raining, and I have my top up, I take the freeway. When it’s warm enough (like 50 in the afternoon, or 40 in the morning), I drive through the city, even though it takes a few minutes longer. If I had a country route available, I’d take that sometimes on nice days as well.
