Three Stooges and Freudian Theory

If anyone ever doubts the validity of Freud’s Id/Ego/Superego model of psyche, I
invariably use the Three Stooges as a prime example of each:

Moe is the Superego, trying (often vainly) to keep the rest of the psyche/troupe in line…

Curly is the Id, uninhibited in his expressions of his most base desires…

And Larry is the poor Ego, often caught in the crossfire between the other two.

Would Shep then be Carl Jung?
