Throw the book at this dumb bitch!

Poor poor kids, and a stupid stupid bitch.

Does the link go to a story about kids who died? If so, I’m not reading it.

And she runs a daycare centre … I guess this will be bad for business.

Stupid, stupid woman

I wish someone would develop my idea. A SHRILL alarm that sounds when the engine is turned off and the car seats are still engaged. I know it’s rough, but someone could finesse the concept. This happens way too often.

Juanita - yes, it’s another Left In The Car By An Utter Idiot Who Has Absolutely No Excuse For Her Stupidiy story.

She’s probably never going to get certification for foster care from the DSS again.

I know nothing about children, but wouldn’t a 5 year old be mature enough to open the door or go get help because his “mommy is missing”?

:frowning:

"She’s probablynever going to get certification for foster care from the DSS again. "

This reminds me of Dorothea Puente, the serial killer of old people, who was convicted for abusing older people, then allowed to be certified to run an old folks home. She killed eight of them and buried them in her back yard before someone noticed.

Where I live, we’ve had three day care providers convicted of various things in the shaking deaths of three infants, which are easier to disguise than these ludicrous car deaths. What the hell are they using to certify people?

Well, margin, it’s not like you can tell somebody’s planning on leaving a kid in the car, or shaking a kid, before they actually do it. What do you think they can do with the certification?

  1. Have you, or any member of your family residing in your home, ever been convicted of a crime? Provide details.
  2. Will you consent to a drug test?
  3. Do you plan on locking children in cars or shaking them?

I’m with you, WorldEater. I would think a 5 yr.old would know enough to open a door. Even a 3 yr. old for that matter. What gives, I wonder.

Kids shouldn’t be obliged to rescue themselves from deadly situations they never should have been in to begin with. I’m hoping for a lengthy prison term and a permanent barring from providing child care of any sort.

The tots may have fallen asleep and just never woken up again. If I were one of the childrens’ real parents, I’d be out buying a gun about know.

Well if all goes well, getting a daycare license, ever, will be the least of her problems.

It could also be the old ‘frog in the pot’ scenario. Put a frog in a cold pot of water, turn on the fire, and it will sit there and cook before it even realizes the water is getting hotter.

The kids may have been hot, but not in pain or discomfort, until such time as they were unable to think well enough (or be strong enough) to get out.

Poor babies. :frowning:

It’s times like these that I wish they made the punishment fit the crime and they put her sorry ass in a hot car and let her die.

And my son when he was 3 wouldn’t have known how to get out of his car seat if he was strapped in.

Or maybe the alarm goes off if the temperature inside is above 80 and there is motion inside. If it gets above 85 or so, it calls 911.

If they were left in car seats, probably not. My three year old is big (and smart) for her age and she physically cannot get her seatbelt unlocked due to the position of the harness release and the finger strength required to open the latch across her chest.
As for the article referenced in the OP, stupidity might not be a crime, but it was a death sentence for the two kids.

Peace-DESK

This is utterly sad :frowning:

If I was the father I would be pummeling that dumb bitch to death!!!

I can understand momentarily forgetting your kids in the car.

I can understand thinking someone else took them out of the car and so never even considering that you need to go back.

I don’t understand how she was indoors all day and never noticed that her children were not there.

Well, now, that’s just a tad silly. That means I could never drive my unairconditioned car between, say, March and November.

Don’t you find 80 degrees in a car to be uncomfortable, lorinada? I know I would. (I presume we’re talking about a car with its windows up.)
