tihs is relaly wreid sutff

This is pretty interesting.

“Relaly” was the first misspelling I saw, but I noticed all of them while I was waiting for the page to load. I think that the shape of “relaly” looks funny to me because I rely on the l’s being together to recognize the shape of the word.

I think that the order I noticed the misspellings was
relaly
wreid
tihs
sutff

Anyone else who saw them all remember an order?

Ha, I caught another typoed misspelling. I think you meant “big”.

Dyslexics of the world UNTIE!

See, I don’t think it works if you make another word, or if the context is wrong. But it’s still weird.

and to Svt4Him, I’ve always read Dyslexics of the world UNTIE! as Dyslexics of the world UNITE! if I just smekmid over it.

(btw, smekmid is a new word of mine! no one can steal it! unless you tell me what it really means:stuck_out_tongue: which I know many of you most likely already CAN… oh well, too bad.) sniff sniff tear

Holy crud-monkeys! I did the little qoute thingy wrong. Dang it. Oh well, too bad.

Oh, wait. I see what the problem is here. I keep spelling quote wrong. To me is always made more sense as qoute rather than quote But that’s just me…

I actually found it easier to read the one without anything to replace the vowels, rather than the one with ‘x’ replacing all of the vowels…

I saw this also in another forum and I did find it really amazing how the brain can automatically recognise what each word is.

Unfortunately, it really does make me squirm to read text in that format. I guess you could say that I’m a real “stickler” for correct grammar and spelling. I can’t stand seeing mis-spelled words! But for the purpose of this exercise I sat and read it all!
