Time for the Christmas Stegosaurus!

Pepper Mill just saw this in a KMart circular. Nothing says Christmas like a $120 animated green stegosaurus in a Santa hat:

…except maybe a $70 lit animated Christmas Pig with antlers:

Thanks - my husband is seriously considering the stegosaurus now. :smack:

I’m seriously considering the stegosaurus.

The next new fad!

There should be a Jesus riding it.

I totally want that pig. It’s so wrong!

Hmmm, this is very tempting. I may have to run over the river for one. That would look mighty fine on my teeny tiny front lawn.

I want both. So tacky…

If only there were A T-Rex, too.

I can just picture little kids throwing tantrums over their need to have a light-up Christmas stegosaurus or pig.

I agree that the pig with antlers is so wrong, it’s right.

What extreme crap people buy… of course, my orange and black witch hat with a lace veil is not in this catagory.

I need to know if the hat and scarf is removable because I would only purchase this thing is if I could keep it up all year long.

It would be fun to buy 10 or 20 of these stegosauruses to have a whole herd in the front lawn. (I’m not aware of specific nouns for groups of dinosaurs.)

ETA: Also, it would be better if these each had a set of wings.

I’m thinking a group of about 5 of each in various arrangements of inter-species flagrante delicto. The neighbors will be appalled.

Good thing KMart’s open late this time of year; I gotta run.

I’m thinking eight tiny stegosaurs pulling Santa’s sleigh.

Christmas pig? Just the thing to annoy the locals. Put me down for a dozen.

Want. Want so bad!

Aw, can’t see the pictures this side of the pond. :frowning:

I went to Melbourne museum just before Christmas a few years ago, and they’d stuck Santa hats and tacky green antlers on all the dinosaur fossils. I nearly laughed myself sick.

An ancient tradition.

We have a 4’ long wire alligator that we wrapped in red rope lights. It and a 5’ tall light up palm tree spend the holidays on our front porch. Kind of our way of poking fun at the light-up-the-sky Christmas displays some of the neighbors had.

One spring we were working in the front yard. A neighbor and her daughter were walking by, and we started chatting. The neighbor, looking kind of sheepish, said “I can understand why you have a palm tree out at Christmas. You know, desert, nativity, palm tree thing. But why do you have an alligator?” The teenaged daughter just said “It’s about the lights, right?”

Inflatable snowmen, Mickey Mouse in a Santa suit, candy canes, alligators. The stegasaurus should fit right in.

L’eggo my Stego.

What kind of stegosaurus is that supposed to be? It only has one pair of thagomizers.
