Time to edit or remove the BBQ Pit sticky?

After all, the members are not following it, and more importantly, the mods are not enforcing it.

So what’s up with the following threads?

Mini-rants

A thread complaining about what’s in the mini-rant thread :rolleyes:

College rants

A rant about something that didn’t even happen to the member, just his wife?

and this, “Let us pool our minor annoyances to create a festering swamp”.

100% of this ‘content’ belongs in MPSIMS, doncha think?

Mods?

No links, only because all of the above (with the exception of the original mini-rant thread) are on the front page of the Pit.

Ah, some things do get shuffled over. Just not the stuff you’d want to be shuffled over. The Pit Sticky serves as a nice treshhold, and good justification when something that isn’t even a rant is moved over

It’s not really important what the BBQ Pit sticky says, just as long as it’s there. It really isn’t BBQ if it’s not sticky.

You’re right, they’re wrong. The Pit has gotten entirely too fluffy in these last months. It is in need of a good curb-stomping by some jackbooted thugs. Too bad neither druids nor giraffes favor such footware.

If any of you feel that a Pit thread is too mild, by all means, report the OP of the nonoffending thread. Seriously. If you think a thread is too fluffy, let a mod or two know about it. The mod may not act in the way you think is best, but mods don’t read every thread.

Please note that I am semi-retired, and I’m not on regular Pit duty any longer…mostly I just squish spammers when I happen across them.
