Time to play with the Akinator again...Can you stump it?

This thing never fails to impress me time and time again.

Over the last three days it’s gotten almost everything I’ve thought of correct, including ones I thought would have been hard.

Just a few examples of what it’s guessed from me the last few days:

Humpty Dumpty
The Man in the Moon
Ron Burgundy (Anchorman)
Powered Toast Man (Ren and Stimpy)
Mr Hanky, the Christmas Poo (South Park)
Jim Ross
Tuco (Breaking Bad)
Mr Clean
The Archangel Gabriel
Snap (of Snap, Crackle, Pop)
Henry Bemis (from the Twlight Zone episode “Time Enough At Last”)
John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmitt
…and many, many more.
I’ve only stumped it about 5 times

So play with it a bit and tell us what you’ve stumped it with…
…but not only that, give credit where credit is due: Admit what it impressed you with it getting too.

It got Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, but I stumped him with Jonah from the bible.

He got Puddleglum the Marsh-Wiggle, but he didn’t get Varys from Game of Thrones.

Just impressed me again with getting the Sneezing Panda right on the first try.

Over 50 questions and one wrong guess to get Gwen from Guild Wars.

I got it on the Character Sabina from Unbearable Lightness of Being.

I got it with science fiction author Robert Sheckley. I thought I filled out a form to get him added.

Sports figures are a pretty good bet, esp. anonymous offensive linemen or some such.

They’ve probably worked out most of the remaining bugs…23 Q’s to get Horus, the Egyptian God.

I stumped him with Sister Myria from the Warhammer 40k novel Faith & Fire.

It took 2 wrong answers (Cordelia Vorkosigan and Honor Harrington) just to get to the Sisters of Battle (as a generic group, thus another incorrect answer), then two more wrong answers (a Halo character, and one I can’t remember at all) before he gave up. She’s only appeared in one novel - maybe 2, I haven’t read Hammer & Anvil, yet, but she’s definitely not the main character in it, but still, he’s gotten relatively minor characters from much more obscure properties.

On the other hand, it got Horus (also Warhammer 40k) right off. Kinda figured it was going to guess him when it asked if he was a traitor. Heh.

I also stumped him with Whirl from Transformers. (He guessed Bender, then Shockwave, then Prowl (Animated), then Warlock (Marvel comics). So at least he was consistently in the robots, and guessed 2 different Transformers, even!)

Double-posting. Whoo. >_>

Just tried hitting him with the significant cast of Little Shop of Horrors.

Mr Mushnik - Stumped him.
Audrey - Got her first try.
Seymour - Took two tries.
Audrey II - Got him first try.
Orin - Took two tries.

Just got “A crash test dummy” on the second try (which I still think is pretty good).

His best showing yet: 17 questions to get Godzilla.

Then I stumped him with Megaguirus. (It asked variants of the same question like a dozen times…that could not have helped it - yes, she’s female; no, she’s not a woman; no, she’s not male; yes, she is a female; yes, she is female; yes, her gender is female; Oh, for pete’s sake, don’t you get it, she’s a female bug!!!)

Got him on Cowboy Bill Watts. May have confused it when I answered truthfully that the character is linked with football. Watts played at Oklahoma and also professionally, but is best known as a pro wrestler/promoter.

I just stumped it with Tarvek Sturmvoraus, from Girl Genius. It did eventually guess Gil Wolfenbach, but that was only after 70-some questions.

And it took 58 questions to get Multivac, largely due to some wrong answers in its database (Multivac never speaks, and is never seen directly).

It didn’t get my namesake, Francis Marion Tarwater. It guessed Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn though, which are actually kind of close.

Took it over 40 questions to get DJ Lance Rock, which was surprising.

You can stump it now and then.

It’s not THAT amazing, really. 20 questions, done systematically, will narrow it down pretty damn quickly. It got Gunther from Friends in 20 in the nose, and to be honest that seems a little slow on the uptake.

I then tried Marlo Stanfield, from “The Wire,” and it took 24 questions, which is shockingly bad. About 15 questions in, the program just hopelessly lost its way and asked if the character “was an insect or arachnid,” after I’d already said it was human.

I stumped him with Charles Lindbergh, which is surprising.

He guessed the Genie from Aladdin in five questions (he randomly asked if my character was a genie on the fourth question). Then I stumped him with Imhotep (he guessed Zoroaster on question 24).

Update: I finally told him I was thinking of Imhotep after 70 or so questions. I feel bad because he was on the list as “an Egyptian architect and god.” I had answered that he wasn’t a god several times.

53 questions to get Rufus from “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” Yikes.
