If it was possible to experience timelessness, what would be some of your experiences be compared to a person who experienced time? I have read somewhere that the Hopi Indians do not have a real system of time keeping but they judge their time by seasons and rising and setting sun.
Well regardless of Hopi indian time keeping traditions, they are still subject to time.
I’ll leave the more detailed answer to some of our Doper scientists, but AFAIK time is just another dimension in our 4 dimensional universe. We cannot exist out of time anymore that we could exist ‘out of space’.
Imagine, there would be no before, nor an after. No now, or later. Weird.
our entire conception of reality is completly wrapped up in the concept of time, if not as in the clock on the wall, at least in the linear sense that cause preceedes effect. To do away with that conception is, well, inconcievable.
Maybe it would be like having no memory. All you know is what’s in front of your face at the present instant in time. Which would be silly, because you wouldn’t have much of a chance at survival. If a car was driving at you, you wouldn’t be able to think that the car would hit you ‘soon’ if you didn’t move. You also wouldn’t be able to remember what happened ‘a moment ago’ so that you can react appropriately ‘afterwards’.
Being attuned to the passage of time is a survival issue-- you don’t last long enough to reproduce if you don’t have it. Unless, of course, you don’t have any way to fight or flee anyways. So you’d basically be a plant, or a coral polyp. Lacking a sense of time would be like lacking a continuous consciousness.

To exist is to exist in time. Time is simply a measurement of motion and change, so in order to experience “timelessness” nothing would ever move or change, and or course, no living thing would ever be born or die.
But suppose everything in the universe totally freezes right NOW
But isn’t every moment already fozen in time?
Well, any good pharmaceutical could help…
I was going to try linking to a quote I remember from a Kurt Vonnegut book, “Slaughterhouse Five”, but the Intarweb isn’t co-operating. Aside from being very odd, the book has aliens in it who experience all of time, something especially shameful for them as they happen to accidentally destroy the universe later on. Vonnegut tries to explain how the aliens see time, which might gvie you an aneurysm, but so it goes.
In my view time is experienced by every cognizent person. It may be in relation to calendars, clocks etc. or merely what event happened before or after another event.
Time appears to be an integral part of this existence, if not why not?
I have experienced this and I know of others who also have.
Yes u could not survive long in this everyday would like this, but the experience does not last. I can really not tell u how long it lasts, since during it all that is experienced is “NOW”. Afterwards, upon reflection, it is recalled as a timeless experience.
The two conditions in which I experienced this was sometimes during meditation and other times during sexual climax. It is a wonderful sensation.
